Kids at play with new Christmas toys

Grandma and grandpa (both sides) did a great job picking out toys for the boys. Jonah has built a lego monument as tall as him and loves his new leap frog table. Noah enjoys sitting watching his brother in the bumbo chair. Noah also loves his kicking toy from mom and dad (us).

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

Although I didn't get any pictures of the snow I did get quite a few great pictures. We had a great time with both sides of the family!

Make new friends but keep the old

To all my high school friends that take a peak at our blog we had a great time today catching up with you all. Today was our annual high school Christmas get together (this was the first year..hopefully more to come!). It was a lot of fun to see how everyone was doing. We will host again next year! Merry Christmas to you all!

Jonah's fun new things

I see so much change in my boys on a daily basis. Noah is changing so quickly. He has started giggling uncontrollably. He actually laughed so hard and long that he got a really bad case of the hiccups. His laugh and smile are a wonderful gift!

As for Jonah he continues to pretend that his bear is his baby. He wiped him with a baby wipe while I was changing Noah the other day. He then preceded to wipe Noah's belly. He stood up and clapped for himself when he was done! His favorite new thing is jumping. He bends down and pops up as far as he can while yelling wow! It is quite adorable. He is continuing to pick up more words and signs. His newest are red, yellow, and blue (he signs yellow too!).

What a wonderful time of year!!

We finally put our tree up. I love to look at the lights. Yes we know the tree looks silly. The ornaments are on only half of the tree. This is what happens when you have a rascal! We tried to have ornaments throughout the whole tree but ornaments ended up being all over our family room so we quickly moved the lower ones up.

3 firsts in 2 days

Noah played in his exercauser for the first time. He loved it!!! This is one giant step towards Independence. He will begin to entertain himself a little at a time. And it is so fun to see him get excited. His second first was rice cereal. He did quite well. He seemed to like the taste. He was messy but that is expected. Jonah had a first today too. Grandma and Grandpa Gronewold babysat him. They seemed to have a lot of fun and boy was Jonah tuckered out!!!

This weekend

We had a wonderful weekend full of family time. We read books, we went to lunch, and we finally took pictures of Noah in the bathtub. He really loves his bath. Jonah went to the Country Club for a Christmas brunch with grandma and grandpa. He wasn't too scared of Santa if grandma sat on his lap too. It looked like he had lots of fun! Here he is in his Christmas clothes.

Big trouble comes in small packages

Jonah has learned how to lock and unlock the sliding glass door (he can also open the door). This is a habit we have been trying to discourage. He can continued the practice. I went outside to feed the dog and turned around to get inside to find out Jonah had locked me out. He was inside laughing and knocking on the door. He also was crawling and dancing like he was on stage and I was the audience. After I started crying he let me in..what a troublemaker!!!!

Sleeping Babies

My sister in law posts things that she is thankful for on her blog every Thursday. I look forward to these every week. I think it is a wonderful idea to list what you are thankful for because at times it is so easy to be dragged down by the negative. I am not going to steal this idea (though I already stole her idea to blog!) even though I feel the best ideas are often stolen. But I am going to say one thing that I'm thankful for and that is sleeping babies! I have been blessed with great sleepers (God knows that I function poorly on little sleep). Noah slept 9 hours straight last night. I did not have to get up once to feed him. I slept 8 hours without a break. I am extremely thankful for this!!!! He went back to sleep and is still sleeping!!

Santa Pictures

My mom, my sister, and I went to the mall to get pictures with Santa. I was very excited that Noah did quite well! His picture turned out cute! Jonah wanted nothing to do with Santa. He screamed, cried, and ran away...needless to say the picture is with Noah only. Jonah was still scared when he left that he refused to look in the direction towards the bearded man...it was funny!!!

Yiiippppeeeee!!

Yippee he looks like me!!!! Jonah is a spitting image of his daddy. He has the same hair, eyes, facial features, and even the same leg pains. So when Noah was born I was hoping he would look look me. At first the look a meter (an internet site where you can see who your child looks like) said Noah was 25% more like Josh..I was quite sad. Yesterday I tried it again and he looks more like me!!!! I am thrilled.
oh and Jonah just cut another tooth..that makes 13.
